The vision of YWAM San Salvador is to see lives wholly transformed and restored, that expand the Kingdom of God in El Salvador and the nations.

See lives wholly transformed and restored, that expand the Kingdom of God in El Salvador and the nations.

Disciple, train and mobilize the greatest number of individuals possible with the purpose of making Jesus known as the only way to salvation, being an answer to the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of El Salvador and the nations.

Christ-centered: Model Jesus, His person, His work and His mission.

Healthy Relationships: Recognize virtues and weaknesses, being willing to continue growing in relationship with God and others.

Compassion: Show interest in the needs of others.

Integrity: To be immovable in spite of the circumstances.

Multicultural: Welcome people from all nations.

YWAM San Salvador was founded in 2002 with a pioneering team from Colombia. The first Discipleship Training School was run the following year and we continue to run the DTS each year, welcoming students from around the world and giving them the chance to grow deeper in their relationship with God, discovering more about who He is, who we are in Him and what His purposes are for us. In addition to the DTS, we also offer second level training through Foundations of Counseling Ministry. YWAM San Salvador works to train believers to be faithful witnesses for Jesus wherever He has called them, offering training and workshops in schools, churches and leadership teams as well.

  • YWAM SAN SALVADOR HAS BEEN SERVING EL SALVADOR FOR MORE THAN 15 YEARS.
  • MORE THAN 10 MINISTRIES HAVE BEEN DEVELOPED AND CONTINUE TO GROW WITH THE GRACE OF GOD AND YOUR SUPPORT.
  • MORE THAN 170 STUDENTS, FROM MANY NATIONS, HAVE GRADUATED FROM OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS.

In 2009, our community development program began when we adopted a community in Soyapango, San Salvador. The first ministry established was Seeds of Hope, a weekly bible class and discipleship time for children. Through the years, we have continued to seek God’s guidance for how He wants to bring about restoration for the families in the community. We now have a strong presence there, working with children and adults, running a feeding program, building homes, literacy programs and much more.

YWAM San Salvador invites you to come and be part of what God is doing here in El Salvador. We welcome volunteers for short-term, full-time or team visits.
