The vision of YWAM San Salvador is to see lives transformed and restored in every way, expanding the Kingdom of God in El Salvador and the nations.

To see lives transformed and restored in every way, expanding the Kingdom of God in El Salvador and the nations.

To disciple, train, and mobilize as many individuals as possible for the purpose of making Jesus known as the only way of salvation, responding to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of El Salvador and the nations.

  1. Christ-centered: Modeling Jesus, His person, His work, and His mission.
  2. Healthy Relationships: Recognize strengths and weaknesses, being willing to continue growing in relationship with God and others.
  3. Compassion: Showing concern for the needs of others.
  4. Integrity: Being steadfast and unchanging despite circumstances.
  5. Transcultural: Welcoming people from all nations.

YWAM San Salvador was founded in 2002 with a pioneering team from Colombia. The first Discipleship and Training School (DTS) was held the following year, and we continue to run the DTS every year, welcoming students from all over the world and giving them the opportunity to deepen their relationship with God, discovering more about who He is, who we are in Him, and what His purposes are for us.

In addition to EDE, we also offer second-level training through Foundations for Counseling Ministries (FMC). YWAM San Salvador works to train believers to be faithful witnesses of Jesus wherever He has called them, offering training and workshops in schools, churches, and leadership teams as well.

  • WE HAVE BEEN WORKING IN EL SALVADOR FOR OVER 22 YEARS.
  • WE HAVE 5 MINISTRIES AND CONTINUE TO GROW BY GOD'S GRACE AND YOUR HELP.
  • WE HAVE GRADUATED OVER 205 STUDENTS FROM MANY COUNTRIES IN OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS.

In 2009, our community development program began when we adopted a community in Soyapango, San Salvador. The first ministry established was Semillas de Esperanza (Seeds of Hope), a weekly Bible class and discipleship time for children. Over the years, we have continued to seek God's guidance on how He wants to bring about the restoration of families in the community. We now have a strong presence there, working with children and adults, running a feeding program, building houses, literacy programs, and much more.

YWAM San Salvador invites you to come and be part of what God is doing here in El Salvador. We welcome volunteers and teams for short or long-term stays.
